Ohio Laundry Room Cabinets Newly Remodeled

This new home in Ohio features a remarkable laundry room with plenty of storage constructed of white Shaker cabinets. What could have been a utilitarian and unattractive space instead projects a sense of balance and symmetry.

Running the cabinets to the ceiling would have provided minimal benefit as far as storage. So instead, the designer trimmed the cabinets with crown molding and left a few inches above. The resulting effect is that of free-standing furniture elements rather than simple cabinets.

Oversized ceramic tiles in the floor and a wall-sized window provide an expansive feel to the space. Storage solutions include a drawer base and tall pantry cabinet. High open shelves provide a space for a touch of color in the rolled towels. Brick backsplash helps highlight the laundry sink. The entire space projects a clean and bright atmosphere. As the wall decal says, “loads of fun” indeed.
