CliqStudios Product Warranties
CliqStudios Custom & RTA Product Warranty

CliqStudios® hereby warrants to the original purchaser, for residential applications only, that all cabinets and accessories, hinges, and all drawers, including system hardware, are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This warranty runs for as long as you own your home and begins upon the date of delivery to you. This warranty is expressly limited to repair or replacement of the defective part at the discretion of CliqStudios and does not include labor for removal or replacement.
This warranty does not extend to defects caused by improper handling, storage, installation, assembly or disassembly, intentional damage, product modifications, exposure to the elements including humidity which may result in warping or splitting, accidental misuse, abuse or negligence.
Natural Variations
Natural woods may vary in texture, color, and wood grain, and exhibit subtle changes as they age. For example, wood joints may eventually have visible cracking around the joint area and cabinet colors may darken or lighten over time. Sunlight, smoke, moisture, household cleaners and other environmental conditions may cause materials to vary from their original color and/or to warp, split or crack. These variations are considered to be the nature of the material in relation to their environmental exposure and are not covered under this warranty.
Additional Limitations and Disclaimers
CliqStudios makes no other warranties other than those set forth herein and all other warranties are hereby disclaimed. The implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited in duration to the length of the limited warranty period. The limited warranties set forth herein are limited to the first and original buyer and are not transferable thereafter.
In no event shall CliqStudios be liable for incidental or consequential damages to the purchaser or to any third party, including, without limitation, damages arising from personal injury, lost profits, loss of business opportunity, loss of property, economic losses, or statutory or exemplary damages, whether from negligence, warranty, strict liability or otherwise. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Ordering your cabinetry without a paint or stain finish applied (Unfinished) will automatically void your warranty.
There are two exceptions to this rule:
- Incorrectly built cabinets.
- Cabinets with shipping damage noted on the Bill of Lading
In both of those instances, we will follow or normal replacement policy. The standard warranty on drawer glides and hinges remains in effect regardless of wood finish selection.
Additional specification notes for ordering unfinished cabinetry:
- Drawer boxes, slide-out trays, lazy susan trays, spice drawer pull-outs, and other internal kits will be finished in a natural stain as is our standard process.
- Interiors and shelves will be finished Natural maple. If you would like the interior to be unfinished, the finished interior (FI) modification must be added.
- Regardless of the species chosen, cabinet ends will be unfinished maple plywood. If you would like the wood species to match, a finished end modification must be added.
Cliq Your Color
The Signature Plus product line offers a custom color option for all paint finishes available through Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams. Due to the nature of custom colors, all sales are final, and no cancellations or changes are accepted after an order is placed on Cliqstudios.com.
Paint swatches available through Benjamin Moore and Sherwin Williams are shown on materials other than wood. Material properties, textures, and sheen will result in wood having a different appearance when the color is applied to the actual door or cabinet. Normal color variation is found from “color swatch to color swatch” and “paper media to solid wood”. Because of this, a customer will be required to order a full door sample in the custom color of their choosing along with a signed waiver. The full door sample has a Retail cost of $100 each + lead-time of 4-6 weeks. The $100 will be credited with the purchase of cabinets.
Once the sample is received and color is approved, the customer will be required to submit a second signed waiver before placing the cabinet order on Cliqstudios.com. A Cliq Your Color cabinet order will have a lead-time of 7-9 weeks. Any warranty, replacement, or add-on orders will also require a lead-time of 7-9 weeks.
Each Cliq Your Color cabinet order will include two matching paint pens for touchup. An additional two pens are available for purchase and must be included with the original cabinet order. Add-on touchup pens will not be accepted post original cabinet order.
When choosing a custom color, all construction platforms are available (Standard and Plywood). On standard construction, ends will be Natural Maple laminate interior and exterior. Custom color is not available on laminate panels.
CliqStudios Mercury Product Warranty

CliqStudios Cabinets, LLC. warrants to the original purchaser that all Mercury cabinetry, door hinges, and drawer glides will be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for a period of Five (5) years from purchase date (Proof of Purchase is required).
This warranty is not transferable and only applicable to product used for residential purposes. Representatives of this cabinet line do not have the authority to change or enlarge this warranty. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, damage or defects caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, or lack of necessary maintenance; nor does it cover alteration, modification, improper installation, improper handling / storage, environmental conditions, nor any labor expenses.
CliqStudios, at our discretion, may elect to repair or replace with a functionally equivalent product. Some replacement parts are subject to availability and may differ from original parts received. Return of defective product may be required for a replacement to be issued. Repair parts or replacement parts are at the expense of CliqStudios, but customer shall bear all other expenses. These expenses may include, but are not limited to, cost of removal and re-installation of product, labor expenses, etc.
Natural Variations
Just as no two trees are alike, no two pieces of wood are alike. The variation in color and grain pattern in wood adds to its natural beauty and is not considered an imperfection. Environmental factors, including but not limited to artificial/natural light, moisture, cleaners, smoke, etc., may cause the darkening or mellowing of a cabinet over time. This is a natural process and can be expected. This warranty does not cover the natural aging or darkening/mellowing of wood color, the inherent growth characteristics of, or variation in wood.
Some of the cabinet lines feature a glazed finish that accentuates the door and drawer front profiles. This glaze is hand-applied over a stain or paint and may, due to the nature of application, consist of random drips, runs, etc. As glazing is a hand-applied process there will be variations in color and appearance from door to door and cabinet to cabinet. This is not considered a defect and is considered normal with hand applied finishes.
It is the nature of wood to expand and contract to varying degrees depending on climate conditions. As a result, cabinet lines with painted surfaces may show fractures in the paint at joints. This is normal and is not considered a defect.
Additional Limitations and Disclaimers
Please note that cabinet styles and finishes can get discontinued by the manufacturer which is beyond the control of CliqStudios. If a product gets discontinued, we will do all we can to support you in your resolution. In this case, you would only be charged the cost of the parts plus shipping. If we`re no longer able to get parts from the manufacturer but are able to locate the parts needed through another source, you would only be charged the cost of the parts plus shipping.
This warranty is valid only in the contiguous United States or officially the conterminous United States, also known as the Lower 48, consisting of only the 48 adjoining U.S. states and the District of Columbia.
All implied warranties are limited in duration to the shorter of the period provided by law or the period of this warranty. To the extent permitted by law, this warranty excludes special, incidental, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitations of incidental or consequential damages or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights; you may have other rights which vary from state to state.

Painted Finish Disclaimer
Joint Splits
When selecting a paint finish for wood cabinetry, it is important to note that joint splits are an unavoidable consequence of the natural expansion and contraction caused by seasonal temperature and humidity changes. This movement is reflected in seams between cabinet door frames and face panels – often appearing as “cracked” paint where two pieces of wood with different grain directions meet at joints. This is the cracking of the layer of paint and not of the wood. Joint splits up to 1/16" do not constitute a defect. While you won't experience this on every single seam in your kitchen space, it should be expected on some level. Your cabinets use mortise and tenon or doweling in combination with high strength adhesive at the major joints and as such will remain secure over a long period of time.

Wood and Finish Coloration
There is no prevention for the process of wood darkening or mellowing with age. The natural darkening and mellowing that normally occurs, or the yellowing of finish resulting from exposure to sunlight and/or other environmental conditions, should be accepted as part of the natural aging process. When adding new cabinetry to an existing room, consider the variation in color over time. To help minimize the color differences between any old and new cabinetry, place the new cabinetry on a different wall, so any color difference won’t be as noticeable.
Surface Damage
Despite our oven-cured topcoat finishing process, which provides a protective layer for all painted products, life with kids and pets can still cause unsightly damage to painted finishes. From toys and claws to pots or pans, any hard surface can make visible scratches that go beyond our warranty's scope of coverage.
Water Damage
Cabinets near sinks and waste baskets go through a lot of wear and tear, from the steam created by hot water to the occasional splash. All this can damage your painted cabinets' finish overtime. Be sure to act and protect these areas from further damage by wiping away water and any other spills immediately. Cabinets damaged from water and other splashes left for long periods of time go beyond our warranty's coverage.
Pin Holes/Surface Pits
It's common to see small pin holes on the back of cabinet doors. Your wooden cabinets may exhibit naturally occurring pits in the finish on both the front and back of cabinet doors. Pits that occur naturally in wood are not considered a defect.
Warped Doors
Wood naturally expands and contracts as it adjusts to its environment, so some warping is expected. Doors up to 1/4" off from their original form are not considered defective, nor are moldings or panels that become misaligned by 2".
During the cabinet installation process, installers are responsible for adjusting doors to ensure a perfect fit. In many cases, warped doors can be easily fixed with some basic hinge adjustments. Try adjusting your door's fittings and let the door properly acclimate first before filing a warranty claim.

Cabinet Return Policy
CliqStudios semi-custom cabinets are made to order and are therefore not eligible for return. Please review your project dimensions and order carefully prior to payment. A final walk through with your designer is recommended.
Confirm Receipt of Order
During delivery, it is important to check the contents of your delivery upon arrival. Report any missing or visibly damaged cabinets to the delivery driver by making notes on the bill of lading (“BOL”). In the event you do not have time to fully inspect the product during delivery, please write “Pending Inspection” on the bill of lading, which is the paperwork the delivery driver will have you sign to confirm receipt of product. CliqStudios Cabinets is not responsible for missing or visibly damaged items after you sign for your delivery. You have 30 days to report concealed damage from date you receive the order. If you have any questions, please email customerservice@cliqstudios.com.
Please refer to our guide on what to prepare for your delivery.
Damaged or Missing Items
- The person who receives the order is responsible for thoroughly inspecting the cartons to ensure the order was delivered completely and that there is no visible damage to the packaging or missing items.
- Any visible damaged or missing items upon delivery must be notated on the delivery receipt (BOL) and packing list given to recipient at time of delivery. Do not refuse the order. It is important to accept the order as the delivery truck does not go back to the factory. Instead, accept the delivery and make note of the damaged. Any order refused will be subject to reconsignment fees.
- Be sure to retain a copy of the delivery receipt (BOL) and a packing list with notes for your records. (Please note, trims, moldings and accessories are often packaged together. Be sure to check the labels on the boxes). Sign the driver’s delivery receipt and packing list once you have double checked the whole order and are certain you have received everything. If you sign confirming you have received everything and later find that you are missing something, neither CliqStudios Cabinetry nor the carrier will be responsible for producing the missing items.
- Claims for visible damages/missing items must be submitted within 30 business days of receiving the order. No claim will be approved without proper paperwork and photos notating damaged/missing items.
- To file a claim, please contact CliqStudios Cabinets Customer Service at customerservice@cliqstudios.com within 30 days of receiving your order to let us know you were missing items or damaged items. CliqStudios Cabinets will submit a claim to the carrier and begin processing a replacement order for the missing items or damaged items.
- CliqStudios Cabinets is NOT responsible for any labor cost, installation cost, or loss of wages that you may incur because of receiving damaged/missing items.
Concealed Damage
- It is imperative that you take and submit photos, (labeled with the item number or “SKU”) of damaged items prior to Installation. DO NOT INSTALL any damaged items. Any photos of installed cabinets or cabinets that have been drilled for hardware will be denied.
- Once you receive your order, you have 30 days to open the cartons, inspect the contents and report any damages/defects. It is important to open all packages to determine if the contents inside were harmed. Once you begin this process, please make specific notes as to the item number/SKU and the specific items damaged.
- Any damage, missing or defective parts require BOTH wide angle & close-up photos of the product and box carton with visible SKU. This allows the CliqStudios team to properly the defect in relation to the overall cabinet. It also helps us identify/confirm the cabinet.
- All claims will be reviewed in 24 to 48 hours (about 2 days). If additional information or photos are required, a member of the team will contact you. Any claim submitted without proper photos and descriptions will be denied.
Cabinetry Care Guide
Cleaning
As with any product constructed of wood, a few moments of care and using the steps below can go a long way in keeping your new CliqStudios Cabinets looking their best. A CliqStudios Cabinet has an oven cured, UV catalyzed finish. The topcoat allows for long-lasting durability and beauty. We recommend the following processes should be done once or twice each year or when the product needs attention:
For Routine Care & Cleaning
Spills and excess moisture should be cleaned up immediately. Wipe down the product with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and other particles, then dry promptly with a clean, soft cloth.
For More Attention to Grease & Dirt
To remove the build-up of grease and dirt add a small amount of dishwashing soap (ie Dawn) to a quart of warm water. Avoid other household cleaners as they may strip the paint or damage the finish. Dampen a clean, soft cloth with this solution and wipe down the cabinetry. Use a second clean, soft cloth to remove all dampness.
No Furniture Polish or other Cleaners
Do not use any type of furniture polish or cleaners. Avoid using abrasive cloths, brushes, or pads to clean your cabinetry. These products can affect the appearance and durability of the topcoat over time. The use of these products will void the warranty.
Climate Control
The environment of the cabinetry should always be maintained with some type of climate control, even when not occupied. To avoid potential problems, we recommend that the cabinetry should be allowed to acclimate to the environment's temperature for 3 days prior to installation. Cabinetry should not be installed too close to or directly facing air vents and radiant heat sources. It is recommended to maintain the relative humidity at 40% to 50% within the temperature range of 65°-75°F. Variations in humidity and temperature will cause expansion and contraction. When changes are minor the dimensional response of the wood will be insignificant.
Under normal fluctuations in temperature, quality cabinetry will perform and look beautiful for many years. CliqStudios Cabinets' warranty does not cover damage or other concerns caused by exposure to extremes in temperature or humidity.
