Light Rail Molding
An important finishing touch to kitchen cabinets, light rail moulding hides under-cabinet light fixtures and provides a finished look to cabinetry. The style of the trim should take into consideration cabinet design, the desired overall effect, and the type of under-cabinet light fixtures. The CliqStudios millwork collection includes a number of appropriate finish moldings – a few examples are pictured below.
CliqStudios trim molding is milled from solid oak, maple, birch or cherry hardwood (many manufacturers use a pine or engineered core with a thin veneer). Molding can be ordered in a factory finish to match any of our stains or paints in the CliqStudios collection and is sold in 96″ lengths.
Deep Angular Molding
The stepped profile of this light rail (catalog ID WC8) is a perfect complement to the angular profile of the cabinet door panel and stepped door frame edge. 2-1/4″ high.
The deep multi-stepped profile of the light rail shown above (catalog SCM8) enhances the classical style of finely detailed inset cabinets. 1-1/2″ or 1-1/4″ high
Classic Low-Profile Skirt
Neatly finishing a simple Shaker cabinet design, the light rail above (catalog CTM8 installed horizontally) is just 3/4″ high.
Mid-height Straight-Edge Trim
Outside corner molding (catalog OCM8), a simple and economical light rail solution, is 1″ high.
