Grey Mini Mosaic “Madison” Jeffrey Court Tile and the CliqStudios Dayton Door in Birch Sable with the Carlton Door in Linen with a Bisque Glaze

This week we are finalizing the cabinet order with CliqStudios and finalizing the back splash tile order with Jeffrey Court Tile for the MinnePHit House. The homeowners, the Brazeltons, chose their wall cabinets in a Vanilla color and their island in an Espresso color. The door styles will be complimentary and add interest to the entire design.

We chose a mini brick mosaic for the kitchen back splash in a light grey color. This new tile is an exclusive new product that Jeffrey Court is introducing in a few months. We like this mosaic because it is classic and simple – hallmarks of style that will last for more than a few years.

We decided to add tones of grey throughout the home as a consistent neutral. Every room will have that touch of neutral and will be accented in different light and dark textures to add interest.
Because there isn’t a lot of wall space we are keeping the backsplash simple and monochromatic to open it up visually. We designed a simple square above the Wolf range to anchor the area as one of the kitchen’s focal points.

Now, we are searching for the stone slab for the island. We will keep the stone background color grey with cream and chocolate tones to pull together all the other color elements in the kitchen.
We may or may not use the same stone on the back counter, it really depends on how busy the pattern in the stone becomes. We may use a plain stone or solid surface type material to keep the area light and bright.
