Traditional Kitchen Features Display Hutch & Open Shelves
The kitchen below was built with Carlton Painted Linen cabinets, a very traditional raised panel door style in a soft, cream-colored factory paint finish. Perfect for transitional and traditional designs, here the Carlton leans toward the formal. Wall cabinets are topped with crown molding to reflect the style of the room’s architectural trim. An island chandelier has candlestick and lampshade lights. A built-in buffet on the side is topped with a glass-front hutch. The island hosts a gas slide-in range with a downdraft vent and open shelves for cookbooks. Decor, including spindle leg bar stools and a hand-painted vase, reinforces the traditional look. Wide-plank hardwood flooring and diamond tile backsplash complete the design. The microwave is built in above the dishwasher, completing a convenient work triangle shielded from traffic by the island. A slightly ornate trim on the lower edge of the wall cabinets serves as a decorative feature and a light rail.
