Striking Black & White Open Floor Plan Kitchen

Signature Dayton White & Carbon

CliqStudios designer Tessa Buhman worked with Steve and Katie Delchin on the design of their new kitchen.  The result was  a striking black and white open floor plan kitchen in a modern transitional style, perfect for the Delchin’s growing family.

“Tessa simply nailed it on the design,” homeowner Steve says, adjusting colors to match the walls and flooring, blending white and dark cabinets beautifully. Over next month, he revised the design continuously, and Tessa worked closely with him every step of the way. She also designed the laundry and utility rooms for his new home. The striking combination of white and deep Carbon painted finishes created an effect unlike any Steve has ever seen. The black kitchen cabinets in the island, sink base and wood range hood reflect the color and style in the fireplace wall in the adjacent family room.

    We would like to know about the flooring in this picture; the product and color. we are building in Florida and will need to use vinyl tile planks or (wood looking) tile. thank you

      The flooring was sourced locally by the homeowner, so we cannot speak to the type or color they chose.

      Hi there Sharon. The homeowner said that they bought the chairs online from Target, but it appears that Target’s website no longer sells this exact model anymore.

      Hi Clarissa. Including the island and built-in appliance cabinets, the kitchen cabinets for this new construction project totaled between $12,000 – $16,000.
