Our kitchen remodel, affectionately known as the kitchen that Walt built, took 6 months of planning before tear down began and was in construction for 2.5 months from October through December of last year. We live in a 90 year old Spanish home and wanted a kitchen more authentic to the style vs. the cheap flip materials that were used before we bought our house 10 years ago. One of the key pieces to our remodel was finding a quality cabinet supplier. Our contractor was planning on making the cabinets himself, but his estimate both for time and cost seemed a little high, so I started to look around myself. I knew I didn’t want to go to a big box retailer and had already ordered our sink, fixtures, custom tile and countertops online, so I decided to seek out some online cabinet solutions as well. Once set up with a designer, the ordering process was easy and they had everything delivered to my house in under 4 weeks, moving up our start date by 3 weeks. Even our contractor, who was extremely skeptical of the quality and fit he was going to have to deal with, was very impressed.
