Our kitchen was the embarrassing weak point of our grand 1918 cottage style farmhouse. We knew that we had to make life more manageable for our growing family, but we put off the remodel for years because we didn’t know where to start. We wanted a kitchen that would be the showcase of our house, spectacular and the focal point of our family life. Our challenge was to make an awkward space functional, to modernize it, and to add much needed storage space while still retaining the period feel of our home. We priced cabinets at local big box stores and custom made from our contractor, but those options were over our budget. Mark discovered CliqStudios online and we were both impressed by the prices, product, and service reviews, yet were nervous to make an online purchase. Our representative Jessica convinced us that we were in good hands. She worked with us every step of the way and used our architectural drawings to alter our design slightly and suggested cabinets that that matched our storage needs while maintaining the charming architectural features of our home. Her professional vision helped us avoid the high cost of custom cabinets in some hard to fit areas. We chose the Shaker mission cabinet style in painted white with hardwood crown molding matched with ubatuba granite, bamboo floors, a stainless and white subway tile backsplash, a farmhouse stainless sink, and art deco fans and lighting. Our friends and family have been blown away by the transformation!
