Our customer Peter and his CliqStudios kitchen designer Julia created a classic Shaker kitchen that blends beautifully into his traditional home. The older home features wide crown molding, door casing with corner blocks, and french doors between kitchen and living rooms. The newly remodeled kitchen, opened up by taking out a half-wall, has a breakfast bar facing the dining room, brown quartz countertops and custom tile backsplash with mosaic insets. The cabinets, painted white Shaker style, include an angle corner cabinet, a lazy Susan and a pull-out trash can at the sink, facing the breakfast bar. A space-saving double-oven range preserves countertop space.

The home’s high ceilings are trimmed with broad crown molding nine feet up from the floor, creating cozy and inviting spaces that could otherwise be overwhelming and cold. Original hardwood floor throughout tie the spaces together with a warm foundation.
