Cramped storage and low ceilings are the perfect recipe for a new kitchen. Homeowner, John Finley, came to CliqStudios ready to change his dated kitchen to a more updated look. The original kitchen had raised panel cabinets with some missing doors. There was also a lack of proper storage, a small sink, awkward countertop workspace around the range, and tile countertops.
John met with his son and contractor, Owen Finley of Finley Construction, to create drawings of the existing space. Once measurements were taken, they met up with CliqStudios designer, Robyn Belongie, to get started.
During the design phase of the project, the most important changes were to update the existing layout and storage without moving gas lines or plumbing. John said, “Robyn came up with a design and we worked with her through two more revisions until we were both satisfied that it would work.”
The new design was in Signature Plus line’s Newport door style in Lily. It included beautiful upgrades like glass wall cabinets that created a balanced look along the cooktop wall, a large farm sink, pull-out accessories, and additional drawer storage. In addition to the upgrades, John’s son, Owen, completed the installation.
John’s final comments on the results were, “The ergonomic design of the kitchen makes cooking and preparing meals much easier than before”. It’s clear to see that John was very pleased with CliqStudios cabinetry and design services, along with Finley Construction’s remodeling work.
