What started as a kitchen remodel turned into a multi-functional dream space. Pinnacle Interior Design’s, Jeanna Letzring, transformed this builder grade space into a home the owner could truly love. As a secondary design feature to the main kitchen, this dining room buffet project demands attention with balanced decorative touches and functional design.

This homeowner’s dining room needed more landing space so Jeanna and her CliqStudios designer created the buffet. Finished in Rockford Cloud White and Classic Gray, these Signature line cabinets beautifully compliment the kitchen. The base cabinets consist of standard storage with a beverage cooler at the center. White glass wall cabinets above brighten the buffet and bring your eye up to the reflective glass and decorative floating wood shelves.

How to Seamlessly Combine Two Rooms

It’s clear that the colors, cabinet finishes, and fixtures were carefully selected to make the biggest impact. Although the buffet was added onto the original kitchen remodel, Jeanna seamlessly tied everything together. When combining multiple rooms, it’s important to carry the color palette through both spaces. By doing this, you prevent a choppy, amateur look.

Try using the same base colors and flooring in both areas. For example, Jeanna used the Rockford cabinets in Cloud White and Classic Gray in the kitchen and buffet. Because she carried this door style and color through both rooms, it took away the divided and disjointed feel the home used to have.

When asked about her final thoughts on the finished project, Jeanna said, “The kitchen turned out stunning, but the bar/buffet area with custom shelves, art piece, and counter took the whole space from fresh and bright to stunning”.
