An Eclectic, Vintage Remodel Featuring CliqStudios Cherry Cabinets
We love seeing the finished results of our customers remodeling projects, and when we saw this one on brownstoner.com, we couldn’t help but feel happy because our cabinets were used in something special. Located in Brooklyn, NY, Lula Blackwell-Hafner took a do-it-yourself approach to her remodel. Moreover, she finished much of the work herself with little assistance from a couple hired professionals.
Lula worked around her large parlor floor co-op to replace deteriorating plaster walls and crown moldings. Furthermore, Lula refinished her mahogany doors and installed new kitchen cabinets from CliqStudios. She also chose the cherry Fairmont inset kitchen cabinets, and opted for wavy glass inserts. Lula actually salvaged the wavy glass inserts from old windows, cut and installed herself.
Lula took her cabinet customization a bit further and painted the insides of the cabinets. She chose a blue-gray paint color to better match the eclectic and vintage style of the rest of her space. The crown molding added to the top of the cabinets complete the look of her kitchenette. Additionally, the soapstone counter also complements the vintage style.
