Napa, CA Contractor Remodels Mom and Dad’s Kitchen

RockfordPainted Linen, CA

When our Napa, California pro partner took on Mom and Dad’s kitchen, he worked with CliqStudios kitchen designer Tessa to transform a dated basic kitchen into a modern, custom space. White painted plywood cabinets were replaced with sleek Shaker cabinets with slab drawer fronts (CliqStudios Rockford Cabinets).

The two-tone design features cream-colored cabinets (Painted Linen) on the perimeter and soft green cabinets (Painted Tea Leaf) in the custom island. The darker color in the island creates a furniture effect, a transition to adjacent dining and living areas.

The island features a custom butcher block counter top with seating for four and a gas cooktop with a retractable downdraft vent. Specialty storage solutions include a lazy Susan cabinet in each corner, three tall pantry cabinets, and over-sized pot and pan storage drawers in the island. The glass door cabinet above the beverage center and under-counter refrigerator creates lovely display space for special dishes and artwork.
