Kitchen Breakfast Bar Does Double-Duty as Homework Station
In the photos below, our most traditional style of cabinets, Fairmont Maple Caramel Jute Glaze, is used throughout this custom kitchen remodel.
The inset cabinets, with detailed raised panel doors and exposed hinge barrels, are accented with oiled bronze door pulls. Earth tones in the maple doors are reflected in the granite countertops, stone backsplash and stone mosaic work beneath the homework station/breakfast bar.
The long pantry wall features decorative end panels, ogee toekick molding and a stack of open shelves, home to the microwave, toaster oven and mixer. The kitchen is a cook’s dream, with a cooktop island facing the dining room and built-in double ovens.
The homework station, positioned between support pillars, faces the family room in the newly opened space. Large white porcelain tiles on the floor brighten the space and do not compete with the beauty of the natural maple and stone on walls and cabinets.More Photos
