Shaker Cherry Cabinets in 50’s Kitchen Remodel

DaytonPainted White

Having a modern 5 person family in a half century old kitchen was a little more than challenging. What may have been functional in the 50’s wasn’t going to work for our family. Needs: more cabinet space, countertop space, lighting, and ultimately more usable. The finished product does all of that. CliqStudios Studios was there from the beginning to end. We also put together a time-lapse video of the full kitchen remodel so you can see it first hand:

Kasha began her remodel planning by shopping for cabinets for her Ohio home. Her requirements were quality, price and the flexibility to fit new cherry cabinets into the existing space. After intensive research, she chose CliqStudios semi-custom plywood-box cabinets. Serious do-it-yourselfers, they recorded the remodel from tear-out of the original kitchen cabinets through final decorating in the time-lapse video noted above. Not having a budget line for eating out, Kasha prepared three meals a day in the kitchen throughout construction. See Dan’s favorite feature and follow their comments on the entire remodel journey in the blog post Dan and Kasha’s DIY Kitchen Project.
