Chef’s Table Kitchen with View of Seattle Waterfront
Out of the Darkness into the Light. Taking a dark cave like kitchen and bringing it into the light as a chef’s table on the water with the spectacular sunset views of the Olympics on the oyster rich Hood Canal as a back drop. Thank you CliqStudios for assisting with the design and the several design changes to come up with the perfect fit for our vision of our kitchen remodel.
What a transformation! In Phil’s Seattle waterfront home, the original kitchen layout was dark and closed. The kitchen now opens to floor-to-ceiling windows with an amazing view of Hood Canal and the Olympic Mountains. A base for the transitional-modern design, cherry cabinets in a Shaker style provide a clean, classic look. Industrial stainless bar stools, a stainless and glass island vent hood and pops of red in the dining chairs and decor complement the warm tones of the hardwood. Recessed ceiling lights keep the space bright without the interruption of pendants or chandeliers.
Built by Phil’s great-grandparents nearly 100 years ago on a dirt road near Seattle, the original home was lost to a fire. The family rebuilt on the site in the 1970s. Today the area is home to celebrities such as Bill and Melinda Gates and the Nordstrom family.Go Back
