Farmington, Connecticut, Kitchen with Traditional White Cabinets

Dayton Painted White Simone Dev Connecticut

The kitchen pictured below is the work of Simone Development, a Connecticut builder that integrates new kitchens into traditional homes. In this example, painted white Shaker cabinets with recessed-panel doors and drawer fronts (CliqStudios Dayton Painted White) are dressed up  to blend with the older home’s traditional style. The kitchen design includes interior-lighted glass-door cabinets on either side of the sink window, traditional crown molding and a neatly trimmed edge on the bottom of the wall cabinet to conceal LED string light fixtures.

The center island includes wide storage drawers, an open cabinet for those often used items, and a gray granite countertop. Perimeter cabinets are topped with black quartz countertop and white subway tiles. Gray wall paint complements the stainless steel appliances.

The built-in breakfast nook, built of white Shaker cabinets and beadboard panels, reinforces the country chic look. A half wall now opens the dining area to the adjacent family room.
