Remodel with Shaker Cabinets in White & Green

DaytonPainted Tea Leaf

Before remodeling, this kitchen had plywood cabinets painted white (including paint on the exposed hinges), white tiled backsplash and countertop and oak flooring.

Kitchen designer Tessa Buhman helped her customer transform it into a warm, contemporary space. Soft green Shaker cabinets (CliqStudios Dayton Tea Leaf) at the base and in the island ground the design, while white Shaker cabinets on the wall keep it light and bright. Lightly ornamented crown molding and light rail frame the wall cabinets, providing a traditional feel. Dark butcher block countertops, white brick backsplash and a built-in beverage cooler make a bold, industrial-luxe statement. Under-cabinet lighting glows gently on the prep and clean-up zones, and a classic white farmhouse sink is the centerpiece and focal point.
