Kitchen Crashers
CliqStudios is proud to be featured on DIY Network's Kitchen Crashers. This exciting program is hosted by designer Alison Victoria and follows her as she approaches unsuspecting shoppers at their local home improvement stores and offers them a free kitchen remodel. When homeowners accept, their kitchen is “crashed” with contractors, designers, electricians, plumbers, and more as they speedily work to create a comfortable and functional new space. The show used kitchen cabinets from CliqStudios to give the homeowners the beautifully-designed kitchen they’ve always wanted.
Cottage Chic – Episode 109
Originally aired: 5/8/2012
Kitchen Crashers invaded a dull, builder-standard kitchen and gave it a welcomed transformation. From a forgettable, cookie-cutter space, Kitchen Crashers pulled out all the stops to create an entertainer’s paradise for the fun-loving homeowners.
By replacing the tiny island with a larger one featuring a beautiful marble top, the designers created an ideal center gathering point in the space that is perfect for conversation. Shabby chic cabinets from CliqStudios, in the Carlton door style and Painted Linen Latte Glaze finish, added much-needed storage in the kitchen. For the finishing touch, the kitchen nook was converted into a bar area complete with a keg-o-rator and a pass-through counter for the bartender.

On this episode, Alison Victoria came to the rescue to save a young couple from their kitchen disaster. Their kitchen suffered from a cramped layout resulting in bad traffic-flow, low ceilings, and a botched DIY cabinet paint project. The dated look of the cabinets and hardware also demonstrated that age was not on this kitchen’s side. The couple was definitely in need of a remodel. Alison wanted to give them a kitchen that was “shabby chic for her with a lot of really cool, clean, masculine lines for him.”
After the kitchen crash, the couple fell in love with their new space and marveled at how great it would function for entertaining friends and family. They received fantastic flooring, amazing marble countertops, new lighting, a detailed tile backsplash, an island with a breakfast bar, and CliqStudios painted white Dayton kitchen cabinets with beautiful glass inserts. The wife said their kitchen was “just amazing. I couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
Their CliqStudios designer said the kitchen started out as a “straightforward, basic kitchen that was kind of closed and cramped.” The designer thought it was “a nice opportunity to showcase the painted white Dayton cabinets with the five-piece drawer front, and the beadboard cabinet interior and finished back on the island.” After the removal of a wall, “the finished project was very family friendly with its open, modified galley design and increased storage.”

Even before a determined and destructive parrot decided to eat the flooring, a young couple from Las Vegas needed major work done on their kitchen. Loose fixtures, duct tape, dated décor, and cabinets that had seen better days plagued their kitchen.
Needless to say, the homeowners received a space more perfect than they could have dreamed. New flooring, a sink and faucet, lighting, window coverings, an exceptional custom island, and CliqStudios cabinets decked out their space.
The CliqStudios designer who helped these homeowners was excited to use the “brand new Rockford Birch Sable cabinets with their nice, dark, and rich color.” “We had to blend the existing pantry with the cabinetry so it flowed well together,” the designer said. Besides this challenge, the designer also had to work around another interesting twist. “The homeowners wanted to add a second wall oven in the future. So, we had to design the cabinet layout to be easily modifiable to accommodate the future oven and to work with their growing family.”
