Cherry Cider and Studio Gray

We are pleased to announce the addition of two new finishes to our cabinet lineup. Cherry Cider and Painted Studio Gray were carefully selected by a team of our top designers. The colors are guaranteed to complement and enhance a broad range of classic and trending styles.

Designer Donna Jones accented Studio Gray perimeter cabinets with a Painted Carbon island in this two-tone contemporary design.

Adding a neutral hue to our Designer Paint collection was an exciting challenge! From literally countless options, we selected this medium shade of gray for its sophisticated appeal. The warm brown undertones coordinate well with trending color schemes and stainless appliances. Studio Gray pairs beautifully with a second paint color for a two-tone kitchen design.

Studio Gray is available in Shaker (Rockford, Dayton and Austin) and traditional/transitional raised-panel (Carlton, Cambridge, Mendota, Lyndale and Bayport) styles. Would you like to try it out in your own kitchen? Order free door samples in Studio Gray or another color from our Designer Paint Collection.

Cherry Cider’s warm mid tone and lively character could only be achieved on North American cherry. The light brown stained finish coordinates well with a wide selection of paint colors and wood finishes.

Cherry’s fine-to-medium grain, color variations and occasional knots and gum pockets add interest to classic, informal and transitional designs.  Cherry cabinets will deepen in color over time, a result of exposure to UV light.

How we choose a finish

When we begin our search for a new paint color or stained finish, we begin by considering hundreds of options represented in design publications and offered by national paint retailers. Our cabinets are built to provide many years of service. Therefore, we are careful to offer styles and finishes that will stay fresh and relevant for an equal length of time. When our design experts have narrowed a category down to 20 options, the intense work begins.  We mix each shade of paint or stain on site, then compare samples under every type of artificial and natural light. This means our team members are taking samples home, trying them out in different rooms at different times of day, and when paired with different color schemes. Only then do we make a final choice.

Our design team then turns the project over to production.  Working with Akzo-Nobel, a world leader in high-end paints and coatings, our production team ensures the cabinet finish will provide consistent beauty and performance.

Before selecting a cabinet color it is important to order free samples to try out in your home. If you would like to talk to a pro about cabinet colors, please contact our Design Studio. Our design services are always free, with no obligation.
