An Eclectic, Vintage Remodel Featuring CliqStudios Cabinets
We love seeing the finished results of our customers remodeling projects, and when we saw this one on brownstoner.com, we couldn’t help but feel happy because our cabinets were used in something special. Located in Brooklyn, NY, Lula Blackwell-Hafner took a do-it-yourself approach to her remodel and finished much of the work herself with only limited assistance from a couple hired professionals.
Lula worked around her large parlor floor co-op to replace deteriorating plaster walls and crown moldings, to refinish her mahogany doors, and to install new kitchen cabinets from CliqStudios. She chose the cherry Fairmont inset kitchen cabinets, and opted for wavy glass inserts, which Lula actually salvaged from old windows, cut and installed herself.
Lula took her cabinet customization a bit further and painted the insides of the cabinets a blue-gray to better match the eclectic and vintage style of the rest of her space. The crown molding added to the top of the cabinets in addition to the soapstone counter complete the look of her kitchenette.
